The starting point for this Limited Edition Fan Clock Wild Cherry was a pilot project to reduce wood waste: the clocks are made from wood that would normally be discarded for aesthetic reasons. For this reason, we developed a classic upcycling process in which waste products or seemingly useless materials are transformed into new products.

At Vitra, the motto is: every new insight is seen as an opportunity for further development. Thus, we try to understand how and why we create wood waste and how our perception of wood waste can be adjusted and reduced. The research into these aspects led to the first exclusive Vitra Circle Store product, the Limited Edition Fan Clock Wild Cherry.
